The all-important address area

Since the Direct Mail Manager is an automated system, your artwork must conform to USPS standards. The address area, the big white box on each design is very important.

The USPS uses scanners to read each postcard as it goes out to mail. These scanners are sensitive to things like colored backgrounds, additional numbers or addresses near the deliver address and other artwork in the address block.

The block size we need is 3.7″ wide x 2.7″ high.

You can put your return address in the top left corner, but you do not want anything else in there!

By instructing our customers to leave this area clear, we achieve an industry leading, 99.9% read rate by the USPS scanners. What does this mean to you? It means your mail stands a much better chance of getting delivered with Postcard Services.
